The way the world evolves today, should lead us, educators, to reflect upon our inheritance for the new generations. Because of the very small information gap that technology allows for today, children and adolescents are more exposed to what happens around them.

Educators today face the challenge of helping today’s younger ones succeed. We need to give our students the necessary tools to play a significant role both in their learning and in their future and the world of tomorrow. In order for students to play this role, we must teach them to set realistic goals and how to achieve them, to overcome challenges, to be positive, and to own and manage their future as they become decision makers. Leaders who will change the world are those who develop their critical thinking skills; know how to work as a team; and who are socially responsible.

Age and school level should not hinder what young people can contribute to society, to their future and to the future of their countries. Our students will make a difference!

Featured speakers will engage in a discussion, based on their own experiences on why, when, and how to empower tomorrow’s leaders.

This session will be broadcast simultaneously in the Mark Twain Library.
